If you can lamb a ewe, calve a cow, ride a quad and work a dog you're a chick to me 😉

Apparently it's very misogynistic to call women females

Careful - she's had a sh!t day (might be on a short fuse)😱
Edit....
a chick??????
??????????????????
I am a women, a female or in Scots I am a wummin! :D

.....you got away lightly there 😗
Not finished!

Still the moves come in handy! Had a ewe run up against a dyke ( dry stone wall ) with a hung lamb and Prodigy would have approved the moves!
Nearly wrecked my back though!
Not good to get a back injury either.

as pretty much a one man band I don't get many holidays etc but i do love a live music event once or twice a year, was chuffed to get tickets to see Paul Weller week or 2 ago, f'ing trouble was on the way (hour and a halves journey ) the charging warning light came on all the time in the car , hard decision was to turn around there and then and return home rather than get stuck or worse in the middle of the Moor on the way home in the middle of Plymouth at midnight :nailbiting::LOL:or worse missing it and losing the 120 odd quid for the tickets :cry:.

Well The "fudge up fortnight " :sneaky:continued 10 days later when a knacked both of us went for a drive to Walk along Dunster beach ❤️ only for the Head Gasket to go and overheat the other car on the way home :mad::ROFLMAO::banghead::banghead:

mind you the silver lining of that one was a 2 and a half hour wait for recovery in 'The rest and be Thankfull ' ...which was warm, friendly and had excellent chilled Fosters on tap :ROFLMAO::rolleyes:

Mature ewes are all lambed here in the space of 30 days most of them with in 10 days, can't complain about the whole thing went fairly well, big crop of lambs, got badly let down with help the last minute, (there's an awful lot of time wasters out there saying they're looking for lambing work)but like a fool decided to lamb the ewe hogs this year still 120 odd left and every 3rd one lambed is an issue, when you've no help and it starts dragging, you fairly get fed up, and to make things worse i put my shoulder out yesterday lifting this baby up on a hook that i couldn't get the lambs out of. Least I won't go hungry

There's a lot to be said for half term and Easter holidays coinciding with some of lambing. Years ago now, but a four year old who can spot a lamb with a poorly leg (it was broken), and a lamb that's coming out divering (legs back) and fetch the grown ups is worth more than saffron! She's now training up her public school, cocooned beloved. The fainting couch really should be moved into the lambing shed for him...

Don’t think I was ever a chick, according to my other three-quarters I have always been a “bird”, 🙄. The “Wren” bit is partly because of my name, and partly, according to his Immense Tallness, because a wren is a small, feisty bird with a loud voice…mmm 🤔, maybe I wouldn’t need such a loud voice if his ears weren’t so far from the ground and he actually listened now and then!

Has anyone else had a mysterious lull in proceedings? Few lambings here across Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Day. Just 4 ewes yesterday, and no hoggs. One ewe overnight. What could possibly have happened 150-ish days ago? 🤔

It's been great to have a breather ~ could take an hour at the beach on Sunday, and I covered for a colleague's (who's come down with covid) stint off-farm, yesterday ~ but it could easily mean the next week to ten days will be... :nailbiting: :nailbiting: :nailbiting:
