It was actually slightly a compliment!

You have excuse a bit of cynicism from some. Many have had bad experiences with horse owners. Usually the horse owner has good intentions at first but as time goes by and bills mount up what was a good relationship at first ends up a nightmare.
I deal with lots of horse owners as part of my business and 90% are good and honest. But some have no financial control and will run up debts then b**ger off! There is one doing the rounds at the moment and has been on four yards in the last few months! Another had 20 horses for sale spread over numerous yards. Was always going to pay her bills when a horse was sold. Unfortunately the horses all had defects which she somehow was going to make into very good, expensive animals. It never happened!

what a lovely slightly compliment ! Thank you, I enjoy being a fire cracker, I'm an independent woman who has to be tough, so everyone on here tells me anyway lol. But like I have also said on here people shouldn't jump to conclusions about me because I work with horses, there are good and bad people in all walks of life.

nothing wrong with being a tough independent woman we have got that bit because you keep telling us, but taking offence at any wise crack or comment isnt going to win you any friends, explaining what you want to do may help you find what you want, and no one is going to nick your idea as you seem to think, you come across as a bit paranoid

Yes would most likely require change of use.
I bought 12.5 acres to use as gun dog training area and had to jump through the PP hoops.
Silly thing was if I put sheep on it and trained sheep dogs it would still be classed agricultural and not need change of use.

Yes, it's a bit ridiculous to be able to train farm dogs on agricultural land.

Such a massive hit, you couldn't be bothered to continue? Nor did it generate enough money to purchase land of your own? Not much of a work ethic, regardless of how often you type how 'passionate' you are about the venture.

What happened to the business? Did it fail? Or, if you sold it, why not use the money to buy your own patch?

You said, earlier, that you had already done it?

What happened to it? If your new idea is 'easy money', why not implement it there?

what a charming person you are and all the remark and questions ! it wasn't a case of couldn't be bothered to continue - but Im certainly not explaining myself to you and an open forum. For your information it wasn't a BUSINESS so it didn't fail and it wasn't sold. There are many reasons I do not wish to buy land - again none of which I need to explain to you. Thank you for your useless input to my post, I really don't see the point of your comments, maybe you are just a generally angry, negative person ! I wish you well and shine happiness on your attitude, you need it !!(y)
@Grassman was right on the money. The questions raised are those you would expect to hear from any perspective landowner cum business partner. Your angry avoidance can only ring alarm bells in all those reading.

The fact you want access to somebody's land for horses (or any grazing animals - the fact that the creatures in this instance are horses is of no consequence), with a site for a static caravan and even electricity/water is an incredibly bad prospect for any landowner. The reason is this - squatting. If someone with available land were to grant access of this type, the newcomer would be almost impossible to remove (due to business differences, a change of farming policy - whatever) due to squatter's rights and on welfare grounds - where would the horses go, should the resident of the static be evicted?

Being secretive, obstructive and zealously defensive when asked perfectly reasonable questions can only reinforce the opinion that as a potential investment, this may not be plain sailing.

Heck you certainly have some fire!
I think @smcapstick is just asking the questions that any prospective landlord would ask?
