Farm bike - do you have one?

That's interesting. The only adverts for UBCO bikes I've seen over here are very much aimed at the leisure and commuting market.

I wonder if the uprated gearing hasn't made it to the UK?

It would be interesting to see if the Farm model has different specs, but I don't think so. For sure, it looks much better...

I guess the marketing is down to their perceived customer base? Most prefer a quad here I'll guess.

I daresay it will have, maybe they just don't want you wrecking the bike !? I suppose from a dealer's POV the worst possible thing is to have someone kill a bike on a farm.... farmers all talk you know.... 🤷‍♂️

Pretty comprehensive and positive "long term" review Pete (y) I guess the "owner" is pretty happy with them, if he is running so many UBCO machines!

I saw elsewhere that the earlier bikes were not really up to hard work, but reckoned 5-6 years down the line they should have sussed the problems... Interesting to look at the pics (and reviews) of earlier machines and you can see the difference.

Intriguing that the hubs really do benefit from the finned castings...
Now trying to suss out the differences between the Gen 4 and Gen 5 machines.

Nothing on the net that I can see, so I have asked UBCO in Kiwiland and see what they say!

Found an ex hire low mile Gen4 machines, but wondering whether to spend more for a new type model in the hope it is a more robust machine/

£6k plus now!!! , you`ll get a hell of a petrol enduro or trials/trail bike for that much such as a CRF300 Honda
for just over £5k , take the VAT off , hell of a bike , hell of a deal .
Hi there, just a wee correction on the price. The price for an Adventure machine with the largest battery on the Plug In Vehicle Grant is £5360 inc vat (£4243.33 ex vat)

A bit of a surprise that, I would have thought the Kiwi's would have sussed out any problems by now? They use their farm kit hard... @Kiwi Pete?

I wonder what is causing the problem?
There has been a couple claimed for sure, like any product issues can happen, but I have to say these have been isolated and usually linked to something else be it overloading or a brake stuck on due to contaminants, and replaced under the UK warranty as a courtesy. In any system or drive train there needs to be a softer point or the potential is there to destroy everything, that said there is always developments and with these isolated cases we are very much looking into what has happened.

The 'weak links' are reaally cheap though.

Looking back at the early bike there were quite a few soft spots - headstock, keyways, o-rings on the brake caliper banjos, spokes, planetary gears... so good to see the improvements made, and made properly, the new bike is an animal compared to the early model

Absolutely, we as a company (UBCO UK) didn't have a huge experience of the the older machines but we did bring in one for testing and the newest Gen5 are a real upgrade from what has come before.
