Trouble is, there will be fields in the country bigger than some entire farms including mine which has fields sizes ranging from 4 to 20 acres. There would probably be more wildlife habitat on my farm farmed hedge to hedge than on some of these big fields with wildlife margins.equally no payment if you wish to farm fence to fence with no recognition of field margins.
Basic land payments are immoral ---no arguments there i think?
If the taxpayer funds something he/she wants value for money ---sounds right to me
Farmers/landowners get £3Bn in support --- if we get £2Bn in the future in return for delivering something tangible/measurable/acceptable to the paymaster (public) then we will be doing well
The gravy train has left ----welcome to the real world (even the NFU now accept this)
It's been done to death on here already.Blimey guys. Heard this on the news and thought i better come and have a look at TFF before it melts. 6 posts, is everybody having a lie in or have we all already accepted that this is going to be the new reality.

Wow, what with this and your comment on the Steak thread this morning, you must really know your way around the swear filter...So, Gove wants a Green Brexit, add this to the previous Red White & Blue Brexit.
We have a Shitty Brown Brexit
As long as its "sensible" rules then I cant see a problem but if the lunatics that have no real knowledge take over forming the scheme then it will be a mess
