Farm vehicle?

At the moment I run an amarok. It has done the job well and taken a lot of abuse. At some point soon I would like to-replace it, but not keen for another crew cab pickup. I need to get two kids in and sometimes ferry some staff about. I would like a commercial discovery but it only has two seats. What are the implications of running a normal discovery as a farm vehicle in respect to tax, vat etc?

Thanks
Will

unless your buying new or VAT qualified used there is no tax / vat advantage of a commercial discovery over a regular one

if its 100% businesses use you can claim 100% of the vat on running it

Erm cough erm. Are the two kids on the books as employees? Else that’s private use

i did say “if” 100% business use !

it’s the use of a vehicle that determines vat and tax treatment not the actual vehicle - ie a car bought for driving school, taxi, weddings or even a supercar hire experience would fully vat qualify if used exclusively for business
