Thanks,we have a small building in our village,as it happens in the grounds of the church which could possibly make a ‘men’s shed’.

I‘ve floated the idea to one or two and there seems to be a positive response.

Think I’m going to pursue it.(y)


Don't know if it would work in your area, but they are opening a mens shed at local mart, called livestock market in other areas i think.

This works well on creeping thistles. Before and after lower ones were done a month ago. Someone on this thread a while ago suggested this method seems pretty good, we will see what comes back next year.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
