Mole Valley at Heathfield.
Not much left now in the rest of Sussex, our local business is winding up at the moment.

The few farmers left get most things from Amazon or similar.

Farm & Country near Alton in Hampshire deliver a lot into West Sussex.

Yes sadly the end of an era of over 47 years.
Used to reckon 80% of their business was from farmers now less than 10%.
No surprise when you see how few farmers are left and the infrastructure disappears.

Oh, really sorry to hear that. I love Channons, but I have noticed how quiet it has been on recent visits so I did wonder. Unfortunately my small purchases of chicken feed and bedding are exactly that... chicken feed. It is so hard for small independent businesses these days.

Moss Farm Supplies aka Mossy sells a bit. I think it’s more man and a van than shop based though.

Dorset fencing supplies may deliver if a large enough quantity.
I know he supplies Pembrokeshire national Park with Chesnut fencing which is fair distance away from his yard near Pool.

Do you really want to buy chestnut fencing just on price, or would you rather discuss with the supplier and buy winter cut stuff?

No doubt the price on the soft stuff would be unbeatable though.

A bit like buying cut price feed through a buying group, where you trust their ‘expert’ to choose which feed is of reasonable quality for the price.

Some things shouldn’t be bought on price alone, fencing materials are certainly one of those imo.

Winter cut or else it rots. Gets this orange fungus when it’s cut when growing.
