Farmers Weekly Subscription Renewal

I resubscribed as they have been producing some, slightly inflammatory, very good and investigative articles this last year or so a worthwhile read.

I think it’s gone back to being a magazine and less paid for add contributions, plus it’s worth it to support the work Abi Kay is doing. My two pence
If they continue to unearth and publicise scandals like RT, NFU and (probably) the AHDB committing to cut 50% of British agricultural production by 2030 so that the retailers can fulfill their environmental commitments, then £200 a year isn't perhaps that much for their support

If they'd rather continue to publish paid for pointless articles, and obviously counterfeit used equipment adverts, then no, not worth the money

Cancelled the subscription to the Scottish Farmer this year. It's been read here for decades, but decided it had become too expensive to read out of date articles that do nothing to help improve my business or my lifestyle

It's improved drastically from the moment the current editor took the reins.
Abi is no slouch either.

Generally, what future for the printed word? Ah, but that's another matter.
(I sometimes lament that I were born into the wrong era)

Farmers Weekly has improved drastically over the last few months.

Abi baiting the realities of RT has helped no end. Worth the subsciption alone for articles like that.

It has definitely improved.

Abi's reportage is becoming increasingly important
Andrew the editor is deliberately trying to make what he says fun but innovative and is calling things to account here and there. I think with all this carbon crap going on a voice of an editor like that is worth supporting.

So I was wavering a bit but they have some good articles and good journalists when they are given the opportunity to write

Hav`nt read one for a while but used to think it was decent read, especially if you were Scottish. ;)
Still have proper ag journalists. Ken must know everyone who farms in Scotland :) & Patsy does good livestock stories

Stop being so tight......... that/s about £2-50 a copy delivered to your door

Stick it through the accounts and after tax will be around £1-75 week........... or £1-50 to you 40% tax payers !!

What’s this tax you speak of? :scratchhead:

I did buy a copy a fortnight ago, in support of Abi Kay’s piece, but can’t say I thought I’ve missed much by not subscribing.
I keep meaning to cancel FG tbh, as it often doesn’t get opened 1 week in 2.
