What about self levelling screed or plastic sheets like parlour board? We have a feed passage that needs something doing, so will watch with interest .

We tiled all of our feed troughs a few years ago. Luckily we managed to find some tiles which were just the perfect size as well as being some of the cheapest in the shop and grey. First we pressure washed the concrete, then applied some form of resin, then tiled with spacers and grouted. Make sure you fill up and hollows so tiles don't get broken if you walk on them and try and keep them as flush as possible so you don't catch an edge with a shovel etc when clearing up. Ours have been down two years now and are still as good as the day they were put in. The shed houses beef cattle all year and has silage on all day everyday.

Need too polish concrete before can use epoxy screed also traugh has a flat bottom then a wedge to make feed fall back to the cows so looking at tiles worried plastic sheet would get a gripe through it or feed getting under it

Anyone used any stuff like this to coat there troughs with?

Have tried to contact a couple of companies to use there resin’s but they either let me down or won’t do it because the bottom of the trough is dished

Mate cleared his car workshop entirely. Painted it. Went on holiday for a week in the summer. Came back and still damp. Didn’t seem to last long either. Obviously different products could work better
