Do you know it was definitely kidney failure? If it was I would think the change to fresh barley was just a coincidence.


I am with you there tim. Just been too stupid busy to get back to my own thread!
This bull didn't have diorea or any sighn of acidosis. His scrotum was like an overinflated balloon and the area around, not the digestive area.
Vet thought allergic reaction and treated that way but took blood. Test came back lacking something telling him kidney failure.
So I lean to coincidence @bovine ?

Sounds like a case of urinary calculi (kidney stones) to me.
