What sort of diet is recommended for feeding Heifers into breeding/calving weight when calving down at 23/24 months?

Currently feeding them 74%dmd silage and 2kg of a 16% weaning ration. I think they are on the edge at calving. They get excellent grazing grass at every opportunity. Looking to see how I can improve things going forward .

Feed them as per your "average cow" so that they have a large rumen capacity.

"On the edge" is the perfect place to be IMO - if you are throwing money at a heifer to get up to spec, then you're creating a future herd that needs money thrown at it to do an average job, which is the opposite of evolutionary process!
