Fendt 724, heavy rear mounted implement.

In this is video the driver isn't hanging around on his headland turns- he turns at heck of a rate of knots but does so with the plough left lowered down, he doesn't actually turn it over until he is heading in reverse far more gently, it's up and over in a flash before he starts turning dead sharp and fast again.

That’s a VariTansanit, Lemken hybrid plough kind of a cross between mounted and semi.. Best of both, always fancied one, had a long hard look at one in Cheffins but wasn’t brave enough 🤣

Those were proper tractors mind. First tractor I ever drove on my own was a 4755. (y)

To be fair 7 is a big load for a 4255, they were only 160hp weren't they?

Are you at Warter Priory as that plough is long gone and I have seen them with a combination of mounted and semi mounted single and wagon KV ploughs

Top links in bottom hole. Think there's another 2 spare holes above.

Lift arms wound right up.

Would shifting either of these make much difference?

It's got great lift capacity, throws plough up on tick over. New Holland would only lift it if top link in top hole. John Deere wouldn't.

I don't really want to fit any additional weights on back of stone graip because of balance. Don't want it tipping over and landing on someone.
Half the trouble is people want bigger tyres , so link arms are longer , our 516 with no weights had more weight on the front wheels than neighbours 724 with the same plough , jd 150r wouldn’t move round the yard without weights on with same plough, 6630 you could plough with it ,all because the arms are longer

Would this be any good @Chae1 ? , cut it down to the same width as the graipe , would push the weight out a good bit further at least. Could even add weights to it as well

Can anyone remember?
The telescopic weight block that was manufactured
By Spencer prestige from Claydon nr Banbury in the late 70’s into the 80’s
It was on frame bolted to the side of the tractor with hyd ram’s to push the weight block forward for extra grip and counter balance the weight on the rear of the tractor.

Thanks, that explains it , although a shame as I use to enjoy the huge fields and views plus the kit !!!
Would be interesting how things have changed since ie at the time they ran 5 or 6 x Claas 580 combines which were maybe 6 year old plus so assume by now they have swapped them out ?? They also had two if not three RB55 Bateman sprayers but again must have updated since and I think one of the last videos was of an Agrifac on demo .
