2600 gallon slurry tankers are pulled with 140hp tractors round here. With the added weight of the tanker..... Much need for the horsepower....

On grassland I'm sure that is fine. Pulling a tanker or large trailed sprayer in an arable field in the winter or spring takes more in my experience and personally I'd want the tractor to be absolute boss of the job so as not to make a mess; it may not need all the power all the time but the traction needs to be absolute.

That's not what you used to say (y)
I say what's contrary to the current opinion.but fastracs are the only machines really built for them speeds.if fendts want to go at them speeds do away with hydrostatic steering as I don't want a burst pipe to send a tractor into the path of a family car.then get doors that open like a car as I don't want a flying projectile through my front window if some one hadn't snecked the door shut properly.there is a lot more to going at high speeds with tractors than some folks think and you can quote me.some one is going to have a serious accident soon and will loose the farm and do jail time.

Tend to agree with you, but steering's no good if you can't stop. It's definitely the brakes which are far more likely to fudge up - and it's really farm trailers that should get the bad press.

So I'd say definitely bring the speed law into the 21st century, but make sure the mandate also brings better (trailer) brakes too.

Hi

Have two of them. Brilliant tractors. One has loader on it. They are small for their size, but punch above their weight

Both profi plus but different tyre configuration. One on super singles and the other one has rear duals. The first one we got in March and has done 500hrs while the other one we got in June and has done 250 hrs.

Both do ag work when needed but one spends most of it'd time on row crops towing a 3700ltr sprayer.

They are definately an operators tractor as every thing is adjustable
