Fendt ideal prices

Location
Morayshire
just reading the farmers weekly combine buyers guide and the list prices for the fendt ideal are astronomic, 648k for an ideal 9. Nearly 200k more than a lexion 780. I know there is massive discounts to be had but why publish list prices as high as that?

List prices are a total fantasy. We’re not fools or idiots (hopefully) we know a farm discount of 30 to 40% is standard fayre, especially on Fendt if you’re not getting 40% off list you’re being too nice to the sales guy.

Question is how many bites of the cherry do you want to give them?

You could go all old English farmer and insist on best price first only offer considered or do what I do and just keep grinding them down, they either walk or talk.

But won't the green one go better:rolleyes:

It will require a shuttle service of oil tankers to carry the surplus diesel away to be sold.

How are those seven cylinder engine going these days? The 8 and 9 are powered by whopping great big MAN engines of course, renewing the association between MAN and AGCO/Fendt. Could MAN be powering a Fendt tractor again some day?

Isn’t it already powering the big ones? 1000 series is it?

There's a 12.4 litre MAN 6-pot unit in the 1000 series.

Rumour mill is that AGCO could be putting MAN engines into the next 900 series, but you never know, they may end up putting one of those super reliable* 9-litre 7-pot AGCO Power (SISU) units in there....

* just don't ask a Challenger owner! :rolleyes::p

Please can someone tell me what the difference is from A Fendt Ideal 9T combine to a Massey Ferguson Ideal 9T. just read the list prices in this weeks Farmers Weekly and the Fendt is a lot dearer.
I thought they were supposed to be the same machine just different decals

The difference is in the RRP and the dealer discount, as well as the decals.
Look at the balers - the Fendt versions are identical but a higher RRP - but some people have brought Fendt versions as they were cheaper on farm.

When you put a Fendt sticker on anything the price automatically goes up.

It also looks the mutts nutts if it matches the tractor on the front..
There can’t be many farms with all fendt tractors pulling the whole fendt grassland and arable ranges. Would be awesome to see mind!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
