Richard,

Sent you a PM.
Richard,

One additional note for you about implement offset; machine offset is not available to change.

Have you tried the following?

Implement offset is automatically calculated within implement setup screen.
  1. Enter in total width of implement
  2. Measure from center of hitch to the right side of the implement
  3. Enter the value and the offset is calculated

Total width is set from the machine page by setting up the sections within the sprayer.

I'm not trying to put a left or right offset in but a back offset. Ie I want to move the coverage bar back about 8 meters directly behind the tractor.

I can't do either left and right or fore/aft. If setting up a non isobus machine I can do as you say without problem.

Just to clarify further. You are trying to adjust the Rear Coupling Length (Drawbar length) ? Screenshot attached.

Is measurement "A" greyed out?

Richard,

Attached a screen shot is it possible for you to circle or indicate which icon is greyed out. Want to ensure we are tracking across the same menu selections.

On this page the isobus implement is directly behind the tractor. It is greyed out and I cannot access it. I can't access the box to the right to change settings.

I can add a front implement and a second rear implement but I cannot move the isobus implement to the second rear implement.

Thanks Richard for your additional efforts. It is not clear we are on the same page.

One confirmation question, what type of sprayer is it? Please include the model number as well, if possible.

Sprayer is an oster machine built here in australia. The isobus controller I have fitted is one from raven industries.

Long and the short of it is I cannot get into the page to the bottom right of your picture. If I could, I could change A which is what I want to do.

Since you are using a Raven ISO controller we believe this is case why there is no possibility to modify the settings in VarioGuide. Some ISOBUS-implement-settings can be modified in the Virtual-Terminal (UT) of the implement, but this is depending on the specific implement and not every ISOBUS-implement supports these settings -> In this case you will need to follow up with Raven or contact the implement dealership.

Sorry as I know this isn't the news you were hoping to receive.

Just a update incase it helps anyone. Had a RTK VRS roaming sim card fitted a week ago and apart from 3 fields so far it is working very well with time lag of 1-5 seconds usually ie very good signal. This is in West Somerset on steep valleys and very poor mobile phone coverage. The only negative which seems daft to me is that if the RTK signal drops out as it did in the 3 fields then I loose ALL guidence rather than drop back to EGNOS which it must be tracking. The only thing I could do was manually switch back to EGNOS and I did those fields with out any problems. Any body who knows the tech stuff explain why it can t auto drop back to Egnos ???
Dealer wants me to upgrade the arieal on the roof but its £300 plus for a high gain. Any one had one and tried it. Feel like I paying to be a guinea pig!
PS, those 3 fields were fairly steep and surrounded by large beech trees. It was also evening in all 3 cases.

@Oscar Does this sim fit into the egnos module in the roof or do you need a whole new unit?

Hello Oscar,

If the signal is lost longer than one minute the automatic steering will be disengaged. If you want to continue using EGNOS you have to switch to EGNOS in the signal-settings manually- unfortunately there’s no WAAS/ EGNOS-fallback implemented in the software so far.
One additional hint on RTK via GSM: If the system has problems in getting a good signal-quality switch to EGNOS and wait for the system to have full EGNOS-signal. Then switch to RTK via GSM. In some cases this helps improving the RTK-signal quality.

Thanks for the advice and yes I can change to egos but thought it would be possible for the system to do it automatically!
Boys ground, had the tractor from new with rtk module but no sim until last week. All the modules clip onto the dome in roof.

Automatically dropping to egnos would be like drilling at 14kph, drop signal then drill slows to 2kph and expect ing same output. RTK is 1-2cm repeatable. Everything else isn't so if you are dropping Rtk needing to use egnos there is a signal issue and it would be very un wise to drill on egnos thinking its Rtk

There is a fallback option from a "switch" but I think it only goes down to RTK float.

Robt is right of course on EGNOS not being sufficient when one needs RTK accuracy. Then again there might be tasks that only need EGNOS accuracy. In such a case one would likely prefer to drive on RTK accuracy when available and accept EGNOS if nothing else works. This is not possible with VarioGuide today, there should be an option to set the fallback accuracy at a higher granularity. Not a big thing but should not be a big thing for implementation either.
