Nitram track foreign N and Urea prices , they could get us all on board if they weren't such greedy so and so's
They can't physically supply the whole UK market, for a lot of the year they were at or just about the same price as Lithan. Certainly kept the job on its toes.

Nitram for Jan about £240, I can't find Lithan below £230, but maybe someone has some stock they need out.

i hear this from various merchants up here but like ive just said i could have had 10wagon loads no bother poss alot more.
neighbours buy more than me & its all Nitram in there shed
Lost me with this, are you implying there is an allocation up your way?

The UK needs to import N either as Urea, or AN. CF are trying to maximise production but still will never take 100% of the market.

It will always be available at a price, however as some are reporting at the moment they have perhaps priced themselves higher than Lithan to self limit the supply. Earlier in the season when it was cheaper they were very competitive against Lithan.

No soz what a i meant was i bought 3 wagon loads on day1 when new prices was out end of last may
but am sure i could have ordered 10loads or more without any supply issues.
I know all dealers/traders call them whateber will most likely only have a certain allocation in the first few days
& i think in this case it was a 24hr window as demand was huge the rep told me afterwards

Perhaps CF have been more agressive this year to chase market share? I would imagine that CF has a higher cost of production than Lithan despite the extra shipping, then it's down to currency for the price competition. Are you agents of Lithan as well as CF?

Definatley they have been chasing market share, they are keen to get as much production out of their factories as possible.

And yes we trade Lithan & Urea as well as sell CF.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
