27n 10so3 compound imported £435. that wasnt the dearest i had quoted.
feels like the big people CF or the ones who control things are drip feeding the chain to keep nudging prices up.
Someone who quoted me late yest afternoon put price up by £20 / tonne for similar only for me to say leave it to then come back saying could do it for £10 more than yesterday. :pompous:

Remember back in 2008 coming out of Children's hospital( son about to have kidney transplant) in Glasgow to phone call from fertiliser company to say fertiliser at docks if you want it you will take delivery next day at 7.00am at a grossly inflated price. My reply was to ask him if he had forgotten who the customer was. Heard later that boatloads of fertiliser were going round the North Sea asking for bids and then unloaded in the country who would pay the highest price0

Driven by speculation or genuine demand in the market. Prices don't go up without buyers (and cannot sellers).
The market has changed, literally everything has gone up,including most of what we sell. And I can’t see things dropping much for a while if ever, the world is a small place now so it’s a global market for most commodities. It’s a massive gamble not buying some fertiliser cover for next year now IMO

Been talking to a chap in the trade this morning who seems to know what's going on.

He thinks it'll crash. Just doesn't know when

Putin will opt for the cash over holding Europe to ransom, he's got the new pipeline to pay for.

Respectable but not excessive crops in the Southern hemisphere will keep a lid on the wheat price.

The charts are the same as in 2008
It’s all speculation

todays gas price is 20% above when cf stopped making fertiliser once gov subsidy stops i cant see them reopening for a long time if its a very cold winter we may all be in trouble
The sub won't stop till alternative CO2 supplies come on line or gas goes down in price. CO2 price has been increased to 5x what it was making it a co-product rather than a by product.
