Price tracker thread!
I was discussing that very thing yesterday but having bought 16k worth of compound a couple of weeks ago for extra cover I really wasn't up for more in my stomach. It was starting to make sense in my head though but might have missed the boat.
MOP still mid 500's?
we ordered 24.0.16 yesterday £656, but will it ever arrive?Christ that’s gone up £300 a tonne since yesterday
25/5/5 was £636 yesterday
Should grain farmers be selling their corn for what it cost them + small margin, or for what the market will stand? It’s always the case nowadays that things go up before the fact. The fert sold today has already been made and subsequent costs incurred. It shouldn’t be going up as much as it is.
I hope so! I tried to order some yesterday but prices were withdrawn and I was added to a list. I’ve never ordered fertiliser as early as this for many years. I came up with an equation to manage it in the £630’s and make sense of it all.we ordered 24.0.16 yesterday £656, but will it ever arrive?
I partly agree but it never seems to work as fast the other wayThey wouldn’t be in business very long if they based their prices on the cost of raw materials when they bought them rather than the price to replace them when they sell the finished product.
That was a good buy. Anything with nitrogen above 20 was £800+we ordered 24.0.16 yesterday £656, but will it ever arrive?
Mine doesn’t go on until a bit later onSurely people arent still buying the fert for this year? Are yous buying early for 2023? That could be wise
I have enough fertiliser for the spring but would usually buy as I need it over the summer. I have enough fodder for this coming winter so it's possible that everything will be grazed. Lamb and beef prices are going to have to lift dramatically or numbers are going to dramatically reduce over the next 12 months. ☹Surely people arent still buying the fert for this year? Are yous buying early for 2023? That could be wise
Normally put some urea on reseeded grass fields pre lambing around the 20th weather permitting but starting to think that al just leave it in the shed.Has anyone put fert on grass yet? Cumbria and further north that is.
