Fibrophos (delivered and spread) was £225/t here today, up from £146 twelve months ago. The chicken sh*t mines must be reliant on expensive gas.
I've edited it for you.Well at least CF etc, now know some farmers are happy and eager to pay £750 urea equivalent, and think they've had a bargain, and finance it for nearly a year before use; and so they have no reason at all carefully to consider where to start off new season prices. We have done the work for them.
Exactly! So you have never bought early before but now it is very expensive and far from guaranteed to rise any higher you have bought some?????
My trader who offered the £740 didn’t imply his arm was being bitten off…..Exactly!
The earliest I have ever bought before is June, but usually August / September.
Took the view that the price was better than expected and wanted to lock in on availability.
Might be right or might be wrong. Who knows?
There seems to be a lot sold and I was worried the deal would be pulled.
Certainly he's a rarityMy trader who offered the £740 didn’t imply his arm was being bitten off…..
Perhaps he’s to honest

Christ I'd hate to see him lose...
Appreciate that, but was sticking to the fert as per topic for onceRight up to a point - except that we have sharp rises in base fert and diesel to price in as well (also general inflation at 10% or so).
Cancelled a load earlier on at £175 as I thought 5k for a load of chicken sh!t too expensive…..but maybe I shouldn’t have as it is apparently bad to get a hold of now.Fibrophos (delivered and spread) was £225/t here today, up from £146 twelve months ago. Ten years to late!!Just seen the email that we should be getting half our basic payment from July. Will certainly help ease some of the pain.
Yes I've just seen that 50% bps payment by the end of July, now we are out of the EU this is allowed.Just seen the email that we should be getting half our basic payment from July. Will certainly help ease some of the pain.

I wonder if this is the start of the realisation of the hole they are in if they don’t start doing something sensible quickYes I've just seen that 50% bps paymentby the end of July, now we are out of the EU this is allowed.

I wonder if it was a precondition for CF turning the CO2 back on.I wonder if this is the start of the realisation of the hole they are in if they don’t start doing something sensible quick
