When used it on sprayer level or pedal mode ?

Lever - hydraulic pump, so I fixed revs at about 1500 on AB throttle switches (if only they were the same on the 76&77's!) and set two speeds on the sv1&2 - spraying and turning - so in spuds 4&11kph, cereals 6&12kph. It was possible to get the Teejet 844E controller settings and decelleration/accelleration speeds pretty close to maintain rate almost regardless of speed. My sprayer tractor for 12 seasons - unquestionably a step forward in 2006 when it arrived.

Round baling - forager mode, quad baling lever mode.
Carting beet - pedal mode - if that fails, you're properly stuck!
Fert spreading, drilling, potato harvesting (hyd webs) etc, fix engine speed, use lever.
Destoning - hand throttle and lever - get the best out of the machine by varying both

Its been replaced by a 2015 MF7618 DVT EX - so far so good!

Was there much hype about the Nuffield 10/60 when it first came out ?.Were they any good .The ancient one i drove now and then did amuse me with its ability to chuck sparks out of the exhaust when pulling a load of hay .The steering wheel was to one side a bit if i remember right. What was peoples views on them in the day.

We only had the 4/65 but I think some features were similar. It had 5 high and 5 low gears but hi and lo seemed pretty close. Low 5 was quite fast enough for the road, especially with the badly adjusted dry brakes and the very sloppy steering (not entirely our fault, the design seemed to make them prone to it). The engine would start no matter how cold it was. I remember the SCATS salesman telling me about the troubles they had with the engine on the 4/65, it was something to do with the balancer and the liners , but SCATS had loads back under warranty and it ended their relationship with Leyland. Ours had been done but the owner didn't want it back even though it was nearly new, so dad did a deal and it never let us down afterwards . it became the only tractor everyone liked and if I sold it I would get lynched.

Good old tractors, still very useful, can handle the tedder with no problems, and goes on the smell of diesel. wonderful air conditioning too.

Dad got a new one "D" reg, brakes didnt work at delivery... all or nothing... the ONLY good thing was hi and low lever was sort of syncro meshed but it also slowed the PTO!.. I did remind him as I got older he could have bought a Ford 4000 for a little bit more.

First brand new was a MF35 four cylinder, the one that wouldn’t start!
Came from FH Burgess Lichfield, salesman was Frank Denley.

Hated it but I was too young to do much with it anyway but it drove the old man nuts trying to get it to start every day!

No Easy Start in an aerosol in those days, they fitted a KiGas pump on the dash which I suppose was similar, but it never worked very well.
