Using 'MyFitnessPal' app on the iPhone, which has a great calorie diary (barcode scan with camera for bought stuff), counts steps and links to Strava for cycling so you know your exercise calorie use.

Having withdrawal symptoms: a single scone with clotted cream and jam is a 6th of my daily calorie allowance (n)

But apart from that, loosing well over a Kg a week (y)

Used an app on my android, it worked great, I managed over 20,000 steps a day and at least two thirds of those were on the quad :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Brother in law did about 10000 steps scraping the cows out. Trouble is, he takes it as gospel
I had an old school pedometer when I was on the post and the rounds varied from 4.5 miles to 12 miles. Milking in our old parlour was 1.5 miles per mliking. I'll have to dig it out and try the new parlour :)

I am using one since Xmas, gives some interesting info back alright. I work full-time nearly always office based, on these days if I didn't do some exercise I would be lucky to see 4-5000 steps in a day. Any day spent on the farm I am always well over 15000 steps any day. Only ever hit calorie target on farm days, otherwise need a min of one hour in gym or sport to reach it.
Have found out am unless at sleeping too!, waking 4-5 times a night!
I am defo now more aware of my lack of activity on office days compared to days out farming.
(however if u ever want to cheat it spend the day in a 100 series mf at full chat... racked up 24,000 steps mowing with the 148 last week!!!)
