Fitting a foot switch to Trimble EZ pilot

Hello, I would like to fit a footswitch to the auto steer on my sprayer. Trimble EZ Pilot with a FM750 screen. Do I need to buy the one from Trimble or can I just by a foot paddle switch from eg RS? If I can do this, does anyone know which plug to wire it into - there are a lot of them! I’m guessing it would need to go into one of the plugs in the attached photo.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Any momentary switch will work.
It needs to be plugged into the 12 pin plug in your pic, I think it's pins 10 and 11.
You will also need to enable remote engage in your settings.

Search Google for Trimble remote engage, there are some threads on TFF about it. I’ve done a couple of tractors and a sprayer, just put a momentary button switch somewhere handy, also using a foot switch in the combine. Done them using ez pilots and ez steers

Much easier than having to push the screen icon

Thank you all for the replies. Yes, I’m getting fed up of trying to touch the screen whilst steering and using the joystick! I’ve looked at the necessary plug and looked in the handbook - I need to use pins 10 and 11 I think, but the sonar alert is using pin 10 already- do I just put the 2 wires into pin 10, or do I not need to use the sonaralert?

I recall that pin 10 is the common ground, so you could join the wires going to it.

I disliked the sonaralert sound and you don't need it. Occasionally I wondered about replacing it with a more subtle beeper for tractors that aren't deafeningly noisy, but reused the cables that came with them for foot and implement switches.

If you update to the latest firmware the Sonar Alert doesn't work, a known problem.

I repurposed my sonar alert plug and cable for a momentary button.
