Flail mower/topper recommendations

Ino are also rebadged and sold as Mcconnell and Twose

I bought it been told it’s a McConnell, I think McConnell have a different belt tension system on.
The topper was good, made a good job but the smaller parts are crap and cheap

If the op had a bit more power Votex flail is built
to last. Has good clearance between the hood and
rotar unlike some other machines.

Looking to get a flail mower for the back of the tractor. Our tractor is only 80hp so no heavy gear please!

Mowing up to 60 acres (but not all in one day!)

What brands and models do you recommend?

Maschio. But I’m biased, have a heavy duty double skin Bisonete and a wacky backy offsetting Giraffona.

Depends how heavy tis you’re cutting, but I wouldn’t recommend you put more than 2.5m behind 80hp.

Lot of expensive flails there - surely for only 60 acres a year a std S/H Major or Mconnel would suffice @ £1k to £1.5k ?

Del morino leveante which I got ex demo is great no issues so far has not stopped for anything yet had the belts slip on some long rough grass but slow down no issues

Which topper would suit a 230hp tractor as its the only one available. Just for mowing stewardship margins etc. Would it be ok running a basic topper in eco 540 pto?

Have put a Kuhn behind a 240 hp tractor before with no problem just like any other machine you just need to use a little common sense
