says don’t do 4 weeks +/- lambing but nothing about tupping.
The old data sheets for it said 1 shot gave immunity, A belt and braces approach and money maker for MSD now says first year they get 2 shots 6 weeks apart. 16+ years on footvax and never felt the need to give 2 shots to any

Or the UK version: https://www.noahcompendium.co.uk/?id=-454791

Strangely, it seems to have changed slightly since I last read it, re the 2 jabs. The NOAH sheet says give one jab, then another of disease persists. A couple of years ago it was changed from one jab, to needing 2 jabs, 4-6 weeks apart. Maybe they have realised nobody actually did that, any more than anyone boosts Toxovax after 4 years?🤐

There is no mention of avoiding tupping time, so maybe I dreamt it? My apologies if so.

However, given the transient lameness that can often occur post jabbing, I would certainly avoid it close to tupping.

Don’t think you dreamt it @neilo i thought the vet said that any vaccination raises the temperature of the animal so shouldn’t be given as you say within the two weeks either side of tupping!?? Maybe we both dreamt it

I wouldn’t use any vaccine near tipping time, why risk upsetting the ewe at a crucial time but a couple of weeks before is fine . Done it many times but tend to use footvax pre housing nowadays

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
