Ford 4600 top speed

Hello lads, how fast does your 46 go? And at what rpm?
Mine does 35k at 2400, i got 540/65R34

Ours was on 12.4x36 and topped out at 18.something mph. At 2200 rated speed.

Are we talking downhill and a loaded trailer? If I remember back to my middle year they certainly got a fair lick on then. It was just a case of judging when to fetch the clutch back up right

R34? Would it not be r30. Our 4610 was on r30 and was quite good to pull but would dread to think what it would be like on r34. 35 k at 2400 sounds about right as I thinks ours did about 19mph but not sure what it revs to as we only had it a year.

Feck knows in miles but about 24-25kph @ full throttle so about 2100-2200 rpm , rev and hour counter gave up decades ago.

Isn't 540 65 34 equivalent to 13.6 85 38?
I've seen those on 4000 before, they do jack it a bit.

The 34 actually only has a diameter of 1566mm which is surprisingly so yes it would fit! Never seen a set on a 4600 though! We had a 6610 on 16.9-34s which looked a lot better than 13.6-38s!

We had a TE20 on 16,9 x 24s, made it a proper tool.

As was ours. Slower than a 4000 on the same tyres and the 2000. 6600 dual power on 13.6 r 38s faster than the 46.
