I got a 91 year 655C, so quite similar, no turbo on mine, but goes ok for me. At the time I was looking for a ‘digger’ I spoke with an acquaintance who is the workshop man for his family plant business. He told me that the Ford / New Holland were the best of the lot. Extending rear dipper is better reach than most, and plenty of power at the front end. Parts have always been available, and with mine being a Ford, I can get most parts through NH dealers, but the later NH badged machines parts have to come via NH Industrial dealers, but no problem.
