Free range enrichment

Anyone offering whole wheat in the afternoons as a treat/scratching/foraging alternative.
Not as a diet alternative more of a treat/enrichment/welfare improvement.
Just considering offering a product to fill the gap if there is one !

Surely it’s just an extra job you have to do ij afternoons that doesn’t need doing

The ration should be balanced. I would be slightly concerned that feeding extra wheat means they don’t get protein/minerals.

Yes it's an extra job and a slight diet change.
I think you've misinterpreted the post, I'm looking at it as a supplier rather than the consumer. Market research rather than intention.
I feel sure the provision could be automated on a timer , to save it been another job and don't know about diet.
Enrichment is mainly about welfare.
