A cut in VAT would certainly help the ultimate consumer - won’t do anything for businesses which can claim it back though.

Got a text off firm I've used most recently that they had a wagon in area next day(Tuesday), ordered some kerosene. Thursday rung them up, was down for delivery tomorrow (Friday). Asked them if they were going to move on price as it had come down and they hadn't delivered at time agreed, they said no as market price had gone up asked if I could cancel my order then, they said yes. Went on future farms and reordered with same company at 4ppl less saving £60

wrong way to go sorry, economy is over heating and expensive fuel will slow it down , alternative is high interest rates.
