Strange one today but when netting a bale, the knife would drop in and instead of stopping turning the rubber roller still carried on turning and reeling net into the chamber so the door wouldn’t open and the net was to cut manually. Haven’t come across this before and probably just an electrical fault ( been around all connectors with wd40) but can anybody shed some light on this issue as some busy days coming up.
checked the net knife sensor and it is ok and lubed the nylon shims on the knife and all the other moving parts of the netter.

Had similar on fusion 2, net not cutting. It was down a failed gas strut to that tensions the net on the right hand side of the baler. Knife wouldn't cut net as not enough tension to hold it taught

I've had a similar issue when the baler hit a bump in the field, caused the net to run, speeding up on headlands can cause problems if field is rough also.

Was the net knife dropping in all the way to cut the net? The knife bushes can get a bit sticky and stop the knife from tripping

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
