I think its quite nice to see two older people living a simple life - they don't go out much due to CV , local shop kindly delivers there supplies and they make that up with what they gather from the local fields
They don't farm but cant see what difference that make
Did you never go blackberry picking

I do, one of the perks of working by hedgerows. Blackberries taste nice though, stubble turnips on the other hand....:yuck: (imo).

I do agree, there's much to be said for a simple life.:)

meat alternatives
The alternative to meat is called vegetable or fungus.

If the journos start calling these products by their correct names , fungus, it's not so appetising

Secondly Tesco are running scared

All the article posted by the OP is could could could.

No mention of the thousands of acres now being grown as "green" energy and bio fuels.

They are the same crops that are grown for animal feed. But that's ok right?

This came up earlier with Gary Lineker. Turned out Mr L is not employed by the BBC only contracted to it so this chap has no authority over him. I suspect the same applies to Mr Packham.

We can do the same on farm, if we employ contractors to put up a building and they have an accident, we have no control over their working practice so under HSE rules we wouldn't be liable right?
Is it fudge!
Of course they have control over him, they don't commission any programs with him in them!
Imagine if he had done something like Jimmy Savile or Rolf Harris would they come out with the same line? No course they wouldn't!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
