I've not got one , just looking at it it would be any good for what I need , would need to get grain to 12 feet ,
Looking at them they look to be mainly around 30 feet long
Thanks

Oddly enough, I made this little video last week for posterity!

Fyson has been legendary on this farm for 30 years and almost universally hated but I’ve got a big soft spot for it and might treat it to a big overhaul in the winter.

They’re hard, dusty days when it comes in dry off the combine and straight up the Fyson. Takes about 15 mins to empty a 12t trailer so about 40t/hr with some moving, shovelling and laying ducts so about the same capacity as our combine.

If you need to manoeuvre it by hand, jacking up and turning the wheels it is hard work on your own and in a rush. Luckily we now have an Avant mini loader with a hook on the front so rarely need to move it manually any more.

We can pile grain up to about 14ft but you’ll start to bury the wheels and wouldn’t be able to move it out manually. Obviously the steeper you run it, the slower it takes grain away.

We’ve got some awkward sheds and it’s a 10 year apprenticeship to learn how to manoeuvre the Fyson and properly fill the sheds without any holes! A “normal” grain store is much easier.

Hope this helps!

Thank you ,
We have a couple of awkward sheds with cooling pedistal's in which I use the grain pusher, just thinking if a elevator would be easier ,

Our other yard is awkward sheds (ex dairy) with pedastals and pusher. They are far easier to fill than the Fyson sheds but the cooling/conditioning is 10x Better with the ducts hence why we persist with the Fyson although we do often question this decision!

Done my apprenticeship with a fison and ducts. No avant, just a massive f off scaffold pole and more than a little blood sweat and tears. Could barely keep up with a case 2188 axial flow....

Not sure if any one can help, we’re using a fysons elevator to fill our wet grain bin before the dryer. The main part of the elevator is fine but the extension is leaking like a colander down the side so I think the belt is knackered. We had it second hand but I’m thinking the belt isn’t wide enough. Does anyone know the width that it meant to be and where I can get a replacement? It’s also got straight grip lines not sure if that is right. Any help would be great thanks

This is my setup. It does dribble when slewed.

Thanks for that. That’s the same as our. But ours pee’s out also look same size belt too. I’ll have to have a closer look. See if I can find a issue. Thanks again.

David Harrison Handling Solutions in Ely. Our main belt split last year when beans leaked through the hopper and ended up between bottom roller and belt. Repaired on site and as good as new.
