General Election

This election should be a walk in the park for TM, that's why she chose to have it now before the reality of Brexit started to hit home. If she can't win this as the only rider who actually has a horse, then god help the UK in it's negotiations with the EU.

If TM doesn't win this election, then that will surely make her the biggest flop pm of all time. Even worse than Cameron.
Haven't posted my vote yet, I must admit I may change from libs to labour just yet.

I would take the polls with a heavy pinch of salt. If you look at the modeling going on, the closest ones are assuming a huge turnout from under 24 voters. Yes, that may happen after Brexit but will it? History says no. I believe Yougov predicted a hung parliament in 2015, Scottish Independence and Remain. Not a glowing track record.

I think if anything, the closeness of the polls will energise a lot of Tory voters to get out and vote where they might not have previously.

The lib dems are such a disingenuous bunch

This say on the final deal they want is rubbish, they will say to remain in the eu, unless we somehow get a better deal of what we have now? just f**king say you want to remain in.

What should happen is, a vote on the deal, or we leave with no deal, then there is no fall back easy option.

Nail on the head right there.
Of course there should be a vote on the deal. A vote by the people. Not by Westminster alone.

This thing is WAY too big for a few suits in London to sign off on without permission from the people.

Funny how it matters now, but not on EU treaty's

The lib dems are not even selling it well, at least say we should remain in the EEA and try and transform it to something similar to the common market

"The People" get to vote on whether they want to rejoin the EU every 5 years with a general election.

That's what a democracy is.

Same as with this general election ... if "Tim but dim" got voted in then that would be seen as a vote to Remain.

You're just continuing on with the same old crap you've been posting for over a year now.

Given there are about 1/2 a million active members of Momentum who support Jeremy Corbyn I'd say we are seeing their activity.

Whether this is enough to fool everyone else or will end up in an impetus for every man and his dog to vote Conservative ... time will tell.

Very revealing exactly who and waht organisations are pushing Corbyn ... if Conservatives get in they would be completely stupid not to sell off the BBC.

The Conservative Party is unfortunately made up with members that are neither harsh enough on New Labour voters ... ie Metropolitan London, Bristol etc ... nor soft enough on traditional Labour supporters ... ie ex miners 2nd generation, ex steel workers etc.

Conservatives could have splurged out on showing a future for manufacturing and training for future nurses / doctors FROM these communities - made this a regional investment fund using English Taxes and Welsh Taxes if they also want it ... and the whole country would have loved them.

People don't want immigration and funding training from deprived areas for these jobs is a win, win, win, win ...

But instead we got death taxes ... whoopee do.

We have already given our permission. We live in a representative democracy and we voted to leave the EU, knowing that it would be our representatives who did the deal. I'm not interested in a second vote.

Arse holes in Westminster shouldn't have a blank cheque. TM has proven that quite clearly over the past year and in particular since she called the election.
Let whoever gets elected negotiate the best deal they can. Bring it back to the ballot box.
Let us decide what to do. If we say yes, go right ahead. If we say no government falls and we need an election plus a renegotiation!
You need good fences to keep manners on sheep.

Practically guaranteeing the EU will give us a bad deal.

As I've said before ... you aint no Leaver you are a clandestine Remainer ... any excuse to undermine and keep the EU.

This is very condescending attitude, plenty of youngsters from these backgrounds do go on to become nurses and doctors already. It's often just a matter of self-belief from themselves and often their parents.

But a lack of self belief - a sense of not being able to fit into or rise within a system that seems loaded against them, is pretty typical of the attitude of many disadvantaged kids, I think.
