For that I use spotify. Free on phone gives you some adverts. I pay £9.99 a month for premium no need to buy a cds again everything you need is there. It's simple to use.

BBC radio app is very good for podcasts. I often download some and play through Bluetooth on the tractor radio.

Spotify here too can create your own playlists well worth the £9.99 a month (although mines free with my phone contract) if you generally buy cds or music on line it's a massive saving as you've acces to thousands of songs or albums definitely give the free version a bash @nick...

I use bbc my music. If you are listening to bbc radio on line, when there is a track you like hit the little + alongside its name. This play list can then be downloaded into spotify. It's the play list I use most I have all sorts of interesting things on it.

As I can't work the digital radio in the sprayer (always retunes itself to BBC Asian Network, 'Bollywood and Bangra') I've started to listen to Radio 6, live via 4G.
Loving the music, most of it from the most obscure artists. I was live streaming the Radio 6 Festival in the cab too, Depeche Mode playing at the Barrowlands, still available on catch up (y)

I quite like Amazon Music app. Amazon are a bit cheaper that Apple Music if you purchase tracks, and the app imports existing music already on your device. Best to download all owned music though rather than play directly from the cloud. All your Amazon Music collection can then be played directly through your Alexa speakers at home, although I can also play by selecting the Amazon app music on any device [including iMac iPhone and iPad as well and Android] and connecting to any smart-speaker, through bluetooth. In my case I have a Bose speaker. The Bose works best when connected to Alexa through bluetooth rather than to any of the other devices though, for some reason. All I have to do is say "Alexa, connect to speaker`" and bingo!

People think of Amazon as a shop and bookstore but Amazon's biggest and most profitable enterprise is its Cloud Services. It hosts Netflix for example. It has massive server farms dotted around the world that holds and serves data for all kinds of major enterprises and even countries and security services. But I digress.

Oh yes, the Amazon Music app on ipad and iphone [and presumably Android] also accepts selections using voice commands "Alexa play ***", so it can be used in conjunction with a car stereo as well, hands free. Best arrange some playlists, so that it plays through the selection rather than having to select each track individually.
