Or do they come in different colours?

I fancy a red one with a white end......:bag:

Really could do with one as I came in from cycling yesterday and the Mrs said ‘he doesn’t look very happy’,maybe a standard size for when it’s particularly cold.

Do Canadian ones have to be particularly stretchy due to the temperature fluctuations?
Should you be cycling naked with another dude is the question going through my head :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I wouldnt be keen to live In that low a temp, in the same way so to speak, as I wouldnt be keen to live in the high Temps of Australia .

Very moderate here as sort of normal, which has a lot going for it imo.

Mind you this is the second genrally quite mild winter in a row.

Currently there is A soil temp of 9c (just above the water table)
....?night time air temps of around mid single figures and dailly just about up to double figures c.
That's South West at approx. 50.7 lat. ..... all thanks to the North Atlantic drift of the Gulfstream .
Plenth of water now, about normal really, makes you think that actually the rain weve had could effectively last for general use until whenever, next Autumn or so as a possibility, but as usual millions of litres will be wasted as a matter of course, that's ok if it keeps getting replaced.
.....Our eather future depends on the jetstream as much as anything .. and its course wobbles off norm bit too often these days......
Ah you wouldnt feel the cold if Blaithin was keeping you warm .........

Will you stock live outside through the storm too?

You can see on this video just what Blaithin was talking about. Jim lives in north central Montana.

If you search Youtube for Jim Conrad, there are over 100 videos of Jim farming. I like this one. It seems the line of cattle are rising from the earth in the distance.

Oh! Jim' wife is a Kiwi girl. Jim met her when she was in Jim's area on a something like a work exchange program. When the program ended she went back home to NZ. Jim "chased her down, clubbed her and dragged her back to Montana." Now three children later she won't be going back.:D

Yeah that shows their snow capes.

I didn’t get photos today, had an appointment for a massage for my gibbled up back. But my work shift changed so I’ll have time to get some in the morning when it’s supposed to be coldest!

Stuck around 26 all day today. On my way home from the massage it was already here

Sun wasn’t completely down yet but as soon as it goes below the horizon the temperature craters.

Hope your back improves. Back pain can really drag your mood down :(

Ok, here's some photos from this morning. It's currently -32 and feels like -40. Some of the ladies are still in bed, because why stand up in this. They don't have lots of snow on their backs but they are frosty!

Two of the calves at the breakfast bar.

Moose and Stella have lovely frosted makeup. Being a black cow Stella usually takes bad photos but frosty hair is like her version of contouring.

Acorn and Em were two of the ones still in bed. You can see Em has snow on her back still. Acorn also has some bloody ice on her chin. When it's this cold the capillaries in their nose can burst so it's fairly common to see a bit of blood in their noses.

Acorn has also had a suspicious quarter on her udder lately so we sent tests off at the beginning of the month. While I've never heard of this causing mastitis, it doesn't sound like good news. Kind of drew up a plan of attack with the vet yesterday and we'll see how things go. Should have 2-3 months before she calves to try and get on top of it before it really blows up. @cows sh#t me to tears have you ever had experience with this one?

Few doses of Amoxicillin. She might end up a 3 titter. Not sure how she would get that though?

Dunno if 20ml of exceed into the back of the ear would help..its a good long acting drug
She’s dry right now so not sure if any injections will do too much. Think that’s why we’re just doing the intramammary one right now?

But the other vet who was too busy to talk to me yesterday got back to me and says a course of penicillin so if I do that and the intramammary now and do heavy stripping from now to calving (not that there’s anything in it right now), then hopefully it won’t be a giant disaster. And hit her again with both options when she starts bagging up and feeding the bacteria.

Perhaps Meghan might for Harry for all he has just negotiated for her, but partly at Canada’s expense!!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
@Blaithin how do you feel about some of your tax paying for their security???:scratchhead:
Could almost not care less.

I pay tax for much dumber things than them wanting to live in Canada. I bet the money they’ll generate the economy will offset anything they cost.

Here’s an example of windchill. Currently 34 with a windchill to make it feel like 42. The wind is only 7 km/hr.

They tell you you can actually make your own windchill just by walking or running so this can show how just moving can make it feel so much colder on your skin. It also makes me quite happy it isn’t very windy out because how cold would it be then!!
