Yes I'd leave much longer this time of year, I'm probably going to spray some rape and rye stubbles that haven't been touched since harvest later this week. If I was a cultivations man I'd be leaving the rape 2 weeks and the rye at least a week before touching them. No hard evidence as to whether this is longer than needed or too short, just my gut feeling as to what would be needed for the chemical to get moved about. As above. I can read the can but would people allow extra time for product to translocate?

What weeds are you spraying?
Yes!Thistles can be steady taking up glyphosate at the best of times!
I've done a fair bit in december before. Left it 14days. Worked well.I sprayed in January once - it didn't work on some of the weeds at all, the agronomist says that some plants won't absorb glyphosate this time of year at all, they had to be actively growing.
Just saying what I was told.
