Glyphosate shortage

Glyphosate not legally banned from schools grounds in the UK but councils may ban glyphosate if they wish from any of their premises. Banned from French school areas I believe.

I don't think glyphosate is approved for use in line marking. Have you found a product with an on-label recommendation? The only herbicide I can recall as being approved was glufosinate-ammonium, Kurtail Gold, now withdrawn.

I am sure the OP was applying carefully targeted Glyphosate, and using the paint as an aid to be sure of exactly where he was placing the herbicide

I have no doubt this is true, but I question the legality of this use as it seems inconsistent with label requirements.

Agricultural pesticide use has become pretty good due to sprayer testing, operator CPD and BASIS but amenity use lags badly and is currently the subject of intense scrutiny by HSE/CRD. This is an example of less than ideal practice. Sharpen up fellas if you want amenity uses to remain on product labels.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
