Glyphosate wetter

Well maybe but have to reduce pesticide rate to 50% of max recommended dose for the application.
I have couchgrass in some wheat. I think I will be using 4 litres glyphosate and a litre Firebrand (ammonium sulphate solution) rather than 2 litres glyphosate and Li700 at recommended conc.
I’m no agronomist though. My agronomist will decide.
I find the couchgrass takes it in well preharvest but not so well in the stubbles so it’s a good opportunity.

Don't fudge about with couch or you will see it again next year. I've got that T shirt.

Eh ?

It's not impressive anyway ime.
That's the only website I could find. I assumed cos it was a lawn website it would be dearer than an ag supplier.

I'll ring DeSangosse on Mon. We're just going at higher rate glypho on the two fields that need doing straight away anyway so a wetter isn't needed.

Soz, I know this has come up many times, just can't be bothered searching. When using cheap glyphosate at say 3 l/ha what's a cost efficient wetter to use with it? Everyone has been enthusiastic about LI700 from memory, what sort of price is it currently and what rate? Any other options?

Put 4l of Glypher on 12 days ago in 200l of water and it’s as if it was never applied here so we need to look at our water quality I think.

Yeah that price isn't aimed at the agricultural market- all the Validate I've ever seen was in 5L cans for starters.

You are not alone I think. I know a friend of mine has been questioning if there is any glyphosate in his glyphosate this summer! He has sprayed both barley and wheat and after 2 weeks neither crops looked any closer to being fit to harvest, despite using a water conditioner.

That doesn't seem right? Are you using it at the right rate?
I exaggerate a little perhaps.. 2017 I paid £2.50/L for the glyphosate and £3/L for the ammonium sulphate at 1L/ha. I don't have more recent figures to hand, though we have used little in the past 2 years.. making up for it this summer by doing every acre I think :X3:

A I see, you use the ammonium sulphate at quite a rate. All the glyphosate adjuvants I used were generally in the 200ml/ha and below, often a lot less range. I reckon it possibly worked out at £1/ha or less? The grassland and maize or beet adjuvants were different mind.

sorry you are correct! Seriously my brain is not with it today. 200ml/ha so 60p per ha... its no so bad is it :ROFLMAO:

When using the ammonium sulphate wetters they must be added to the water before the glyphosate or they have no effect.

This. The same applies to all water conditioners. Normally, adjuvants are the last to be added to the tank.

The ultimate best practice is to have a tank full of treated water to hook your sprayer up to. At my last place I had a Dosatron metering Aquascope to the incoming mains water on a 18,000 litre tank. I used this for all glyphosate, hormones, SUs and pyrethroid applications in a hard water area.

I’ve a similar set up here it makes a huge difference to the water quality
