Glyphosate wetter

Soz, I know this has come up many times, just can't be bothered searching. When using cheap glyphosate at say 3 l/ha what's a cost efficient wetter to use with it? Everyone has been enthusiastic about LI700 from memory, what sort of price is it currently and what rate? Any other options?

DeSangosse (LI700 manufacturers) also make a product called VALIDATE which I have found to be very cost effective for improving unwetted formulations of glyphosate.
Rate dependent on spraying water volume;
100 l/ha = validate @ 125 mls/ha
125 l/ha = validate @ 155 mls/ha
150 l/ha = validate @ 185 mls/ha

I've used firebrand (ammonium sulpahte) for the the first time this year and I've been really impressed by the speed of kill.
Previously I've always used something like crop spray 11e as its harvested rain water i use for spraying I've never seen the need for something like amsul but it does seem to be the dogs danglies.

Another vote for Firebrand, which seems to improve performance.

Are these adjuvants approved for dessicating cereals? I suppose I ought to read the label. Personally not sure I’d want some of them on my toast.
Good question.
If they are classified as an adjuvant there are potential rate restrictions of the partner herbicide which have to be adhered to when certain growth stages are reached.

Using LI700 as an example, you could in theory use it for cereal desiccation in tank mix with glyphosate but the glyphosate product would be restricted to 50% of the maximum dose e.g most 360gm formulations Of glyphosate have a pre-harvest max dose of 4 l/ha so you could only use it in mixture with LI700 at 2.0 l/ha (Which in most cases is more than adequate)

If they are classified as a water conditioner/drift retardant etc i.e don’t have an ADJ number there are unlikely to be restrictions on the rate of the desiccant product.

Does anyone know where I could get hold of LI700 in the north of Eng? None of the suppliers I've tried will supply it, a couple haven't even heard of it!!

Use validate instead.

I have consistently found that the speed of kill is enhanced with these products. Many of them also claim to be drift retardants and water conditioners in one handy and dandy product.

Li700 label says only use up to growth stage 1/4 in influorescence in cereals.
Have a read of next statement under the crop/growth stage table....

Well maybe but have to reduce pesticide rate to 50% of max recommended dose for the application.
I have couchgrass in some wheat. I think I will be using 4 litres glyphosate and a litre Firebrand (ammonium sulphate solution) rather than 2 litres glyphosate and Li700 at recommended conc.
I’m no agronomist though. My agronomist will decide.
I find the couchgrass takes it in well preharvest but not so well in the stubbles so it’s a good opportunity.
