'The Prime Minister also announced a number of measures to make diversification easier by cutting bureaucratic red tape around permitted development rights so farmers can easily develop buildings and diversify earnings through farm shops, commercial space and sporting venues.'

This is the bit that pee'd me off the most.
f**king pisses me off this… why is it we all have to diversify to survive? I’m a farmer and I f**king hate people I want to farm so I don’t have to deal with people ….. not deal with people by diversifying just so I can farm 🤦‍♂️ maybe the British steel industry should have diversified instead of just packing up shop

am l right in saying Rishi represents a rural constituency ? In which case, he would be lobbying for his rural vote, wouldn't he ?
might be rather embarrassing if he lost his seat in the next election.

but, will we fair any better with another party in power ? I don't think we will, whichever gets in, the countries bankrupt, any extra money paid to us, has to come from taxation, or guv borrowing, so we are screwed either way.

This paragraph annoys me.

It is farmers who feed us and proudly steward the land. You do it not for praise, or high reward but to put food on our tables and to maintain a tradition and a way of life that really matters. We don’t celebrate that enough.

They seem to think we will put food in front of the population at a loss because we love doing it so much. Well prime minister we do all enjoy doing it but definitely not at a loss or as he puts it “ not for high reward “ Don’t talk to us like we are idiots. So Mr Sunak next time your in your countryside constituency and want to talk to an idiot bring one with you from the city!!

Looking forward to opening my wheat and barley shop.
Oilseed rape? None available thanks to Tory ban on seed dressings.
Busy sorting out drainage problems. Probably one of the most important things for my business. Any help with that? None at all. And if the government could even clean out the rivers it would help. But nothing doing there other than beavers and deliberate rewetting (water logging).

The moron cant see that even if we wanted to do it just for the tradition that it only lasts for so long when you cant pay the bills.
We are sick of working for feck all primeminister.
Its insulting. Sfi stuttering into life, bps cut prematurely, universal credit (thats a lifeline for smaller farms)
practically off limits.
Never mind we will just pretend its a nice lifestlye
I dont think they have a clue how f**king sick farmers are at being taken for granted.

He’s on his way to Rhyl tomorrow in a copter.
Got anything handy?…

Starling repellent laser ….

Local good ol’ boy had time at her majesty’s for shining a torch at RAF flyboys practicing take offs and landings over his house.
