Grain slow moving?

Anybody else finding grain slower moving than usual?

Opposite here, they’ve picked up last two contracts early, low protein milling

Lots of high protein German wheat brought in to the country and they need our low protein to mix with it. Dropped the full spec price by £10 and no demand for it.

Heard reports mills are pushing contracts on each month too, so grain sold for Feb movement becomes March etc.

Seems a strange job compared to if the boot was on the other foot.

A lot of April uplift wheat being moved now.

Sold load Wheat on phone to Frontier last Thursday, lorry collected it the next day on the Friday!

Loading feed wheat at the moment for a April contract. February contract was collected first week back into new year. All sold over £200 so not clearing up the cheaper stuff .

Feed wheat is moving isn’t it? It’s milling wheat they don’t want. No milling premium atm is there?

Spoke to our trader today, he said the mills are overstuffed with top spec milling so the brakes are on for a while, they may increase the intake of lower spec to blend it down.
