We can store up to 10,000 tonnes of crop on site at any one time and store for a range of merchants and farmers locally. Farmers and merchants deliver to site where the crop is assessed for moisture, cleanliness and conditioned as required. We offer cleaning, colour sorting, bug treatment and drying for grain merchants and farmers. We offer a lively place to work, with a great chance to gain a huge amount of experience in all aspects of crop production from field to mill.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the 10,000 tonne grain store, and helping to acquire new work coming into the store.
The candidate will need to be fit, have good people skills and show good communication between all parties and show that they can manage and complete their own tasks. To be able to remain clam and focused and to be ablle to work under pressure. It is important that the candidate is a team player with the enthusiasm to muck in and learn new techniques and input their own ideas, along with being able to work on their own.
Good computer stills are essential. Some arable farming knowledge would be beneficial. Full training would be given along with accredited training going forwards. This is a job you can really get stuck into and make your own.

Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience and there is a possibility of accommodation if required. Along with a potential for tonnage linked commission. This is a full time PAYE position. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

- Weighing in/out and sampling of lorries
- Testing of commodities and logging on computer software
- Operating two intake pits leading to the plant room and store
- Liaising with grain merchants and hauliers
- Loading lorries with a telescopic loader
- Cleaning the store prior to and during harvest
- Temperature and condition checking of crops
- General upkeep of grain equipment and tidiness of the yard
- General yard work as required
