I have been using shell gladus multipurpose extreme pressure grease cartridges for the past dozen or so years, for greasing the tractors the loader tractor, baler and all other jobs like muckspreader and all ptos, what do others use and why?
Jcb blue grease. I find it seems to put up with wet conditions like a telehandler headstock better than others.
I too use Shell Gadus, this is the one..http://farleycompany.com/pdf/data-sheets/shell/g-greases/tds_gadus_s3_v220c_2_v1.pdf
I am glad you brought up this subject as I have a 90 year old Amanco open crank engine and the big end and main bearings have grease cups and I was wondering what is best grease to use...
Our Jcb dealers mechanic said the other day the Mvf grease was poor .Rekons the blue Jcb stuff lasts longer.
The open crank engine hasn't a brass plate recommending grease type, no? These lads will know, they also have a Facebook page if you wanted to contact them, click
He would do wouldn't he? MVF is EP2 the blue JCB grease is....different! I was told to use the JCB blue on the telehandler as above have said, it is better but regular EP2 in everything else.
Majority of the grease will come from the same couple of factories the only difference between the jcb grease and most others will be a colour dye in it
