Will Rewilded land still qualify for IHT?? It isn't agricultural.Very sorry to hear this it must be a very bitter blow, you are absolutely right in your conclusions. I personally have always disliked the idea of tenants and landowners. I was very lucky to be in that generation after the war when landowning did not benefit from IHT benefits. So land was purchasable by farmers not city investors
Plenty of ways round it now, guess most would be owned off shore or in charitable trusts! Will Rewilded land still qualify for IHT?? It isn't agricultural.
should landowners have to apply for planning permission to rewild? I think they should. Will Rewilded land still qualify for IHT?? It isn't agricultural.
I suspect it would go through the process on the nod, sadly!should landowners have to apply for planning permission to rewild? I think they should.
Will that be before or after Vlad turns off the gas to Europe? It’ll all be back in production shortly, we will look back and laugh at it in a few years time when the demand for food increases and we will be getting grants for draining and growing crops
I don’t know it’s hard to predict but unless population drops by an actual pandemic soon we will get hungry! Will that be before or after Vlad turns off the gas to Europe?
Lost my main block of ground Monday,
Jeeez, sorry to hear that - puts into perspective one of our landlords wanting 10 acres back to 'save the planet' by planting it with trees. Most likely will have to sell the flock. Lost another 500 acre block end of last week
They used to say that we will end up being hungry with the lights on because of these schemes but it looks like we will be hungry in the dark now tooWill that be before or after Vlad turns off the gas to Europe?
FFS, that is just plain and bloody awful. Most likely will have to sell the flock. Lost another 500 acre block end of last week because the rich London property developer owners have two dogs which bite people and attack sheep and horses and they don’t want the stress of worrying so the whole 500 acre farm is now just a place to walk to stroker dogs.
Makes me wonder why i bother. Hard work and being good at what you do means nowt these days.
That's a f**king travesty. Most likely will have to sell the flock. What a complete bloody joke. Sounds like those dogs need a bullet rather than bought a 500 acre playground! Most likely will have to sell the flock. It wasn’t my idea. Farm clusters are an example of collaboration when it comes to this sort of thing that are popping up all over the country. I have merely been to a couple of meetings with one proposed in our area.@ajd132 ^^^this is why your idea of joint venture plans with large arable farms will be treated with contempt by most. Without security of tenure, the livestock farmer is completely at the whim of others.
