That's what they where designed for. They just market them for fencing to gain a bigger market but they aren't strong enough to hold the tension required in fencing.I’ve noticed gripples are used extensively by shopfitters for Tesco, probably others as well. Holding all manner of things up in the roof space.
never actually used them to be honest , still in the bottom of the bag , bought a set of maun pliers years ago and use theseThose gripple wire cutters are total rubbish. The bolt holding them together snaps way too easily
