Growing Fodder Beet after Carrots?

Hi,
I am renting land this year off a farm that had carrots just harvested.
I would like to put Beet in after carrots but not sure if there can be problems?
Does anyone know of disease problems or pest problems that stops beet and carrots being grown too close together?

Not great farming either a cereal crop after a root crop should perform well.

Only man I knew had carrots grown on his land said beans were the only thing he could get to grow due to amount of straw they'd covered them with

Maize is ok time to work straw in esp if you can put muck on to help the straw breakdown.
