Congratulations to the folks at the BBC behind Harvest 2013.
The pace and content of the first two programmes aired made for compelling viewing for folks familiar with modern agriculture and from my non-farming mates alike.
Wouldn't it be great to have more of these concise, factual and well made programmes in the future covering different facets of modern agriculture
What ideas do other peeps feel would make good viewing for the general public and farming enthusiasts alike?
Please don't let this thread develop in to discussions about presenters or other matters, let's just see what we can suggest and - if broadcasters are looking in - it might just happen!
I'll kick off by suggesting a three programme documentary series in to technology in food production:
Robotic milking
Dry sow feeders
Sexed semen
Satellite technology in farm machines
Anaerobic digesters
EID in sheep
EBV and livestock recording
That tomato place in Thanet shows how impressive technology can be as a televisual medium
