Wow, I just can’t believe how much rain you guys are having around the country, we have had 155mm since the beginning of March. Nil moisture at plough depth and struggling to get cc germinated! Please send some our way.

By the end of the night I think we will have had 300mm since start of June.

You can have all mine till Late March :) but you have to collect :)

Finally cut my Winter (!) Barley yesterday and get it baled. Only 15 acs and was sprayed with liquid sunshine on 4th August . As you can guess, not a pretty picture . Would estimate 2 t/ ac , 17 % and got 44 x 6 string 7 ft bales which was very broken but dry .
With today's 30 mm rain, gone through the 100 mm mark this month.

week four of harvest is effectivly over a day early as its p....down and has been most of the night ,wk one 12 acre.wk two 30 acre ,wk three 15 acre this week 8 acre at this rate should be finished just in time for xmas, got to look on the brightside and surely out of 100 acre of unintentional sp barley should be able to salvage a few tons to sow next may ,ffs

Undersown spring barley. Just baling and wrapping grassy straw hard behind combine.

You obviously missed what we had yesterday, struggling to walk in the barley let alone take a combine in although a lad cutting a couple of miles away, can't be good,I squeezed a bit of our barley and it just went to mush, has to be well over 30%.

Yeah. We had nothing yesterday. 32mm on Tuesday.

Today's been first decent day since.

Nothing at Stonehaven yesterday. I heard it was torrential as far as Fordoun last night. The vining peas were lifted last night. It's a bit of a mess. One viner in up to axles in one place.
