Has Boris come of age?

Hard to say. Either he will leave politics and work in the private sector being paid huge money for speaking or he has left the May government because he want's a clean sheet to run as PM himself in the future? I don't doubt he is a ruthless and very intelligent chap but I doubt the electorate would seriously consider him a valid candidate. Time may tell.

Can't think he's chucking in the towel, else he would of gone more maverick?

He’s working on it, so let’s just give him a chance.
Definitely in his teens now. Full of energy. Bit scattered most of the time. Wish he would choose a few of his friends a bit more carefully though. Caught a few times drinking cider with his mates, on that waste ground behind No 10.
He’s a work in progress! Bless him!

You surprise me @Ashtree, I would have thought you’d detest the man. Or perhaps I’m just not receptive to sarcasm?

After the article in the Telegraph what does this tell me an ordinary voter with little allegiance to any party. Does Boris Johnson, the Conservative Party or the Daily Telegraph have a problem with Islam. Has the nasty party returned - or did it ever go away?

Accusing politicians or political parties of hating something is all the rave now. Corbyn is being bashed for being anti-semitic, I don't believe the bloke has ever harboured any malice for anyone.

Been hospital this past noon
Well in the waiting room, These women started to mention of Boris, my ears pricked up and got interested of the talk, The two birds said I do agree with Boris he is right!! The other bird Yes I agree with you because this country now-days you just can't speak your mind freely any more!!.
(I agree with them all the way!)
I feel he is the only man in any of the parties!.

By saying women who wear the burka look like letterboxes Boris Johnson may have caused offence but (at least in his eyes) this doesnt amount to islamaphobia as he is of the belief that there is no scriptural requirement to wear it hence it has nothing to do with Islam.
He also clearly said that whilst he found the dress ridiculous people should be allowed to wear what they wish.
We live in a world where offence is taken in order to stifle debate and free speech.
Are we not allowed our own opinions anymore ?
Having said that. It is true, of course, that people in public office should be mindful of the language they use but we do need politicians who will speak their mind and they should be allowed to do it.

Thats probably why Nazarin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is still in prison?

The trouble is he opens his mouth and to h*ll with the consequences .

Would the country miss him as a politician if he decided to get a proper job?I doubt it!
