Mine came out at 56 a year and a bit older than I am, If I knew my BP and cholesterol it might be lower all I know is they are all good. Also always come out a border line obese even though I am probably only about 1/2 a stone overweight. Always have done.

Think BMI is s terrible measure of obesity - some of the fittest people I know are well over 25 silly because they spend a lot of time in the gym and build a lot of (heavy) muscle

im 81kgs and 5'11" which puts me at 24.9 ....... I really wouldn't want to loose any weight more than a kg maybe though

Body fat % is what we should focus on IMO not BMI and as long as I can stay sub 20% I think thats healthy

    As usual, I remain cynical!

Did not enter a figure for chloresterol as I don't have one, but last time tested I was told it was OK and I don't think they lied.

Yes, I was on pills to reduce blood pressure but my doctor scored that item out on my repeat prescription so presumably that's OK too.

Tried to do the test again but the same score keeps popping back up. Government scare tactics to turn us all into vegetarians?

Oh, they are far more subtle than that!;)

I just don't believe my heart age is 17 years older than my actual age when everything else is satisfactory.

But then I could be dead and this is heaven....:cautious:

It says my heart is 95 but I'm 78. Go figure. I am 5'10" in old money and about 12 stone.

Don't smoke, hardly drink, and I'm single.

It's another government plot, I tell you! They're trying to kill me off! (Again).

Poll added so we can compare the framers of the UK against the wider public who are apparently 5 /5 older than real age !

if you do the test please do the poll (its anonymous etc !)

heart age +3 over actual age.
Seeing as I didn't know my blood pressure or cholesterol level , they pretty much had to guess it.

Mine was same as my age, but I couldn't enter cholesterol or blood pressure so it's based on BMI, age, height, smoker, and of course post code. It said I could make it younger if I reduced cholesterol and blood pressure so i assume not entering these puts them as 'bad'. o_O

    Still, I won't have a heart attack or stroke until I'm 81 :)

At least it gets a discussion going I suppose.

I told my GP that on the basis of the NHS healthcheck I had just done with his nurses, I was obese due to my BMI. He rolled his eyes and told me to ignore it and carry on as usual. I'm very muscly for a 50+ female which is not unexpected as I am regularly heaving 40kg around and also have very large bones. (That said, I am carrying too much fat..)

2years older, and I will get to 76 before a stroke or heart attack. I find that information quite comforting

Mine's 12 years older and I'll get to 71 before a heart attack/stroke. And TBH I'm quite happy with that. Yes I am obese, possibly unfit, suffer from arthritis, but still manage to put in the 12 hrs shifts we do much better than the younger, fitter lads at work.

I can't remember my blood pressure/cholesterol, but have it checked every 12-18 months along with a diabetes check due to my family history, and all's been good up to yet.

I can't be as unhealthy as they make my size out to be, as very rarely go to the Dr between my check ups. I am trying to lose weight, not for the heart/stroke risk, but to help with the arthritis in my knees and hips.

Mine has come out six months older than I am, and my BMI is 25.9.
Could do with getting fit, but don’t have the time to do it without losing quality family time
