A lovely heifer calved and sadly the calf died 2 weeks later, long story she got caught by a rig in the fattening yard.Anyway have tried to put a calf on her but we only have calves that had been weaned a week earlier. She is so distressed even a week later and tje foster calf not interested.Never had one so upset as this, would you just keep putting her in the crush and try and find a young calf that has been on a cow .Hate markets and we are careful on virus etc coming in,farm to farm even if we could find one.Soft spot for this lovely heifer as she clearly will make a good mother ,so anyone near me with a milk herd
